XAMPP 1.7.7 shell access?! (Win7) 1.7.1 [SOLVED]

Postby zhaopeterson » 24. October 2011 06:22

I have an older computer which had xampp 1.7.2 installed and its control panel has the "shell" button. My older computer got virus infected I had to start on a new computer which is Window 7. I just installed xampp1.7.7 a week ago and I realized it does not have the "shell" button on the control panel. How can I access the command line?! Thanks!

Hello,
Please use the new version 3 Control Panel by double clicking on xampp-control-3-beta.exe found in the xampp folder.

Right click on it and select to run as administrator if you are not logged in to Win7 as a full administrator.

 You can also right click on the file and create a shortcut to your desktop or any where that is handy for you.

You will find it has much more than the xampp-Shell button. :)

If you would like the latest much improved now bug free version then please download from here:

Best wishes. :)
