Setting up users with lampp command

Postby Repute » 01. February 2004 20:01

Maybe its a good idea to ad an command witch sets up:

- an new MySQL user
- an new folder in opt/lampp/newfolder with ftp acces with the same password
- and an new http redirect just like /phpmyadmin in one handy command like /opt/lampp/lampp newuser

Just a thought would be great for some user I know :D

Sorry, Repute!

I'm very busy at the moment because of juristic problems about the name of our package: XAMPP. Someone registered a German trade mark with the same name and I've to collect money and find a lawyer. And that's not an easy game...

Greetings

I don't see why it needs money and lawyers. I'm guessing it's a company run by idiots anyhow if it needs that. You should need do nothing more than apologise and rename the package and say sorry again and again and point out you are not making money from the use of the name.

Either that or you are suggesting you used the name first and someone stole it?!

Hi,

our XAMPP was there "first"....
It's just some guy trying to make money with our popularity.....
But the guy has now given up.... the trade mark has been written to our name. All we're waiting for is the reply stating us that it's finally thru.

So long
