But you can login to phpmyadmin with root?

Then there must be a priviledges tab in which there is a text hyperlink "Add a new User"
We don't provide any support via personal channels like PM, email, Skype, TeamViewer!

It's like porn for programmers 8)

Yes I had the same issue. :)

Did you change the language of phpMyAdmin in the Anzeige-Einstellungen section using the Sprache - Language drop box to an English or a language of your choosing?

You will then see the Privileges tab in the menu button row at the top of the main window frame.

In the default German language the tab is named Rechte and when you click on that tab the heading is Benutzerübersicht,

Good luck. :)

After login.
The default language in phpMyAdmin is German and if required you may need to change the language.

What are you seeing after login?

In your main page of xampp download the "forums" link is not clear guys :)

for me, after language set to en
>after root login, if no login errors appear
>then the database-create form is in the main page directly...

I meant "forums" button or link from the main page of apachefriends.org is not clear, support button is good but forums also should be mentioned clearly, not just a small linked text inside the support page, that is my opinion..
sorry, I couldn't find off topic issues forums for this, this section in forums only speaks english and it is pure technical, all other sections in your forums makes me talk to my self! remind me of my last Christmas trip as it was in Germany :)

You commented about the main page of XAMPP download and I provided the link to that page above which clearly shows a very good clear and concise image link.

In the AF Home page all the links are created the same for web page design uniformity and they do the job quite well and therefore would not be changed on a whim.
