xampp 1.7.7 help

Postby Lykos22 » 23. September 2011 09:30

Hi I may need some help please!!
I 've installed xampp 1.7.7 and everything went perfect! When I click stop and then start again the apache and mysql services from the control panel, the services are not starting, it shows me an error -1. Does anyone know what's wrong? :(

Can you please paste in Code tags the Control Panel log window?

Are you using the Control Panel Version 3 ?

If you can a screen cap of your control panel would help but not essential.

Thanks. :)

Please click on Exit.

When it has closed double click on C:\xampp\xammp-control-3-beta.exe and use the new CP.

You will find it more helpful with lots more features.

Post back if the issue is the same with the new panel.

You can right click on the above exe file and create a shortcut to place on your desktop for convenience.

Thanks for the screen cap, they do help.

Good luck :)

It is a much improved Control Panel that you will enjoy using over the old version included in the release.

Read the sticky at the top of the forum about how it evolved.

Give it a try and be surprised. :)

Good luck. 8)

This is the current release by the developer of the control panel Stephen.

The beta name was added by the XAMPP for Windows developer.

It is not therefore a true beta that really was supposed to have the beta name removed in 1.7.7 but I guess it was possibly over looked.

Great CP and worth using all the time.

Best wishes. :)
