Upgrade Xamp 1.7.4 to 1.7.7

Thank you for your great efforts,

I've read that there is no upgrade version, is that means we have to uninstall the 1.7.4 version and then install 1.7.7 ??

if yes, how can we do that by the proper way, without any issues

Your English is just fine.

Yes you would need to uninstall 1.7.4 and then install 1.7.7 version.

Have a read of this post and see if you can follow the steps and see if it helps:

I have recommended using the zip version in the above post but this 1.7.7 version has a better compressed archive a 7z file that will open with WinRAR if you don't have the free 7zip program - I recommend that version and the instructions apply the same.

By the way, you did not include your Windows version which has now become a requirement.

I'm running on Windows seven 32bits,

My partener has uninstall via control panel ==> uninstall,
and she tried to delete the folder c:/xamp but that cound't benn deleted because of the services are yet started,
so she stopped the services, after that she deleted the folder manulally

Can i now begin the installation of the 1.7.7 version ?! without issues !

1. I've read the other post, but i found out that she already uninstall by this way,
2. and i don't have a high connection speed now to download the zip version

Thats why there is a 7zip version that is the smaller.

Ok, I lanched it, i've to wait for more than 1 hour,

you said:

Start the XAMPP Control Panel.
Make sure there are no ticks in any of the Svc check boxes.
Stop all XAMPP components.
Press 'Exit' in the XAMPP Control Panel.
Delete the xampp folder completely after backing up your own files.
Reboot as it often helps clean things up.

but there is no control panel now (already uninstalled).

We'v just run the commands:

sc delete apache2.2
sc delete mysql

now they're removed.

Hi,

I tried the other way to install xamp (.zip)

so firstly it runs succesfuly,
but when i try to instal OCSinventory server, Apache coudn't start,
mysql service start sucessfully
I tried to change the port in conf file but, i've the same problem, this the eror.log:
