Assigning a virtual domain name

Hello everyone!

I got a problem regarding assigning of virtual domain name to my XAMPP server. I installed xampp to a windows xp system, and I wish to access the web site from another computer using a virtual domain name instead of the ip address of the xampp server (my windows xp system). Can anybody please show me how to do it. I have tried some examples of assigning virtual domain name I have browsed from the internet but it didn't work. Thanks

I think you will need to define - 'virtual domain name'.
