XAMPP error 139

Postby Sharvari » 17. June 2011 11:37

Hi all,

Critical applications running on my linux server already. I wanted another apache environment to work in.
so i installe xampp in another folder /home/xampp2, changed apache and sql port numbers in the .conf files,
I went ahead and changed the path /opt/lampp to /home/xampp2 in all files.
I think this much was sufficient to run apache right??
But the error:
[root@stkm-beta xampp2]# ./lampp startapache
XAMPP: Starting Apache with SSL ...
/home/xampp2/bin/apachectl: line 78: 27859 Segmentation fault $HTTPD $ARGV
XAMPP: Error 139! Couldn't start Apache!
XAMPP: Starting diagnose...
XAMPP: Sorry, I've no idea what's going wrong.
XAMPP: Please contact our forum http://community.apachefriends.org/f/

Please get back with this one ya. :( I'm tired

No, it's not. You cannot run lampp from a different location than /opt/lampp, as this is hardcoded(!) even in binary modules.
