Noob Subdomain for testing

Postby DrawingCloud » 16. June 2011 13:57

Hello I am new to the whole webpage making. I hope to learn using xampp. First I would like to ask how I can setup subdomains for testing environment for my webpages.
For example how can I make a domain like project1.test.com, project2.test.com, and project3.test.com etc.
Or can just have webpages in different folders?
This way I can work on more than 1 webpage at a time.
Is this a good idea?

Also, I plan do most of my mockups in gimp as I do not have enough cash for photoshop.
What would be a good webpage editor to use?
What are some good books on webpage making?

You will need to research vhost or virtualhost in this English XAMPP for Windows forum - advanced search - and/or your favorite search engine.

There are many working examples for you to work and experiment with.

Again Google, or your favorite search engine, is your best friend for answers to these questions.
