passworded phpmyadmin now can't use it

Hi guys I installed Xampp. then used the security console to add passwords the the sql etc. the others went well but when i try to use phpmyadmin 3.3.9 it says I have wrong user name or password, I've tried all possible misspellings but it's no good.


Can someone tell me where the user names password for phpadmin are stored so I can get in there and change it?
I haven't used the sql or most parts of the download yet so could I uninstall phpadmin and then re-download it again, would that get around it?
