phpmyadmin- Error #2003 - The server is not responding

Hi
I've been using xampp for 6 months with no problems. Suddenly, I get the error above. I tried lots of things and then tried reinstalling xampp. No I get another error:

#2003 - Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10013)
Connection for controluser as defined in your configuration failed.

Anybody any ideas? This is crazy as I had no problems and suddenly nothing works!

I should not have printed the error "Connection for controluser as defined in your configuration failed". Its an easy one to solve. Its the other 2 errors that im having awful problems with

When I go to http://localhost/phpmyadmin/

I got this error: phpmyadmin- Error #2003 - The server is not responding.

Then, after re-installing xampp, Im getting this error: #2003 - Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10013)

Mysql is running and i can connect through the shell but when i go to http://localhost/phpmyadmin/ I get the error above

I solved this problem by installing xampp on my d drive. i dont know why but apache and mysql are working again!
