Two versions of xampp in the same server

I need to use two differents versions of xampp in my PC, the lastest and 1.6.
I've installed the lastest in /opt/lampp and it works fine.
After that I installed 1.6 in /opt/lampp16 but when I run /opt/lampp16/lampp start it does start 1.7 version.

How can I have both versions ok?

Well, I think I know why doesn't work.
Xampp must be in /opt/lampp directory, so I rename /opt/lampp to /opt/lampp17 and I make a symbolic link /opt/lampp that I point to lampp17 or lampp16.
