MySQL Randomly shutting down

Postby Terrum » 23. April 2011 15:48

Hi, I'm in desperate help of how to stop my MySQL randomly shutting down. It happens at many various times and I don't know how to check what's shutting it down, crashing it, or what. Can someone help me what to do first? Even if it's something that'll automatically start it back up after it's shutdown.

Thanks.

EDIT: Also sometimes the servers I run with MySQL say "Lost connection" sometimes even though the MySQL server is still up. I really need help, this is bringing my servers uptime down. I want to know what's causing this. Any suggestions? Thanks again

I finally found the logs. Here is what it's printing when it crashes.
110424 22:51:43 InnoDB: Operating system error number 6 in a file operation.
InnoDB: Some operating system error numbers are described at
InnoDB: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/ ... codes.html
InnoDB: File operation call: 'flush'.
InnoDB: Cannot continue operation.

Any help?

EDIT: According to that link in the quote, Operating system error number 6 (in windows, which I am running) is "ERROR_INVALID_HANDLE" (The handle is invalid.). No idea what that means. Any help guys, please?

Does anyone know the most general causes for that error, or anything like that?
