I got this error after installing module in drupal, I am using xampp

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 60 seconds exceeded in D:\XAMPP\xampp\htdocs\drupal6\includes\common.inc on line 552

I cant find php,ini, where is this file, do i have to drop it in the drupal directory?

Where is the php.ini file, I cant find it anywhere????

Not sure if you have to put it in the drupal directory, but for the php.ini file:

"Since XAMPP 1.7.1 the "php.ini" is only in the directory "\xampp\php". Till XAMPP 1.7.0 is was in the directory "\xampp\apache\bin".

If a change in the "php.ini" have no effect, it's possible PHP is still using an other one. You can verify this with phpinfo(). Go to the URI http://localhost/xampp/phpinfo.php and search for "Loaded Configuration File". This value shows you the "php.ini" PHP is really using."

thank you for that, i found php file

I set the execution time to 360 sec

but still i get errors when try to import data into drupal

here are errors, is this because of xampp?

I buffered many specs in my.ini file too, like drupal recommends, but still I get these errors

You should be patient.

This is a non profit board. All helpers here are helping in their freetime and can't be online 24/7.
Maybe it will take a day or two. You can bump your post again, if you don't get an answer in a couple of days, but not in a couple of hours.

I had the same problem and fixed by adding the following below in sites\default\settings.php, more detail at http://drupal.org/node/454372

ini_set('max_execution_time', 300);

Normally the settings.php is READ ONLY file, so you have to change its attribute. I changed to 60, and still got the error. Then tried at 300, and working ...
