Is there a way to force FileZilla to stay connected longer? Thanks!

Don't you just hate it when someone posts back that they solved their issue but fails to reveal the solution. :shock:

If using XAMPP what version and what OS please?

My reply is based on the FileZilla server included in XAMPP 1.7.7 on Windows XP SP3.

2 methods.
1. Open xampp\FileZilla\FileZilla server.xml and edit this line to suit
Code: Select all
<FileZillaServer>
<Settings>
<Item name="Timeout" type="numeric">120</Item>
Save the file and restart FileZilla,

2. (best method) Start FileZilla in the XAMPP Control Panel version 3 and click on the Admin button.
Click on OK in the next small window.
In the main Admin window click on Edit>Settings and under General Setting adjust the Timeout Settings to suit.
Click OK, close the Admin window and restart FileZilla.

Good luck. :)

Thank you Sharley! I've been having this problem for a long time and never knew how to fix it. I knew it had to be fairly easy - I just didn't know how to get it done.

Thanks again.

Same here Dave. Thank you Sharley. Very helpful. It is a royal pain when you are in the middle of uploading a file and it disconnects.

I believe it will automatically re-upload some files that were not uploaded when you are connect again?
