Browser compatibility with xampp

Using XAMPP for windows. Database hosted locally. Logging in to the member's area (database driven) IE doesn't log in - it refreshes itself; Chrome, Safari and Firefox allows me to log in. My questions are why is this happening and how can I resolve this?

XAMPP is very independend from Browsers. The Apache HTTP Daemon just answers on HTTP Requests.
