Help With Uninstalling

Postby keysuuh » 24. January 2011 11:21

I have been using xampp for a while now.
But I recently attempted to make changed to my jquery.js file and since then my effects to the images ect wouldn't work.
So I figured I should uninstall it, and that I did.
Then I reinstalled it I guess...
and Now when I try to uninstall it again the "uninstall_xampp" link is gone.
What do I do?
How could I completely delete xampp and reinstall with new settings ect?

Please Help Me! :(

Make sure that all XAMPP components are Stopped by using the XAMPP Control Panel and that there are no ticks in any of the Svc check boxes.

Then close the XAMPP Control Panel and save any of your own files that you may have in the htdocs folder, but do not save any of the xampp files or folders as they will be reinstalled later.

Next delete the xampp folder completely.

When you are satisfied that the uninstall went smoothly then you can go ahead and install XAMPP as outlined on the Apache Friends XAMPP for Windows home page.

I have stopped everything.
But when I try to delete the xampp folder it keeps recycling and then saying try again because the folder might be open else where.
But the only xampp folder open is the one I navigated to, in order to delete the folder...
Why might this be happening?

Reboot your PC and then try and delete your xampp folder again.

I apologize for my stupid mistake.
I didn't realize, the xampp control was still open in my tray.
I thought it was closed but I had to click exit in order for it to completely be gone.
I deleted the folder - success.
Thank you for the help!
