Running Windows 7. Installed XAMPP last night. MySQL initially didn't want to run right. I unchecked/rechecked/restarted the MySQL and it was running fine.
Today, it says that MySQL is Running in the control panel, but XAMPP web interface shows the MySQL status as 'DEACTIVATED' no matter what I do.
As a side issue, after I registered to this forum, everything on this webboard is showing up in 'German' translation (should be American English).
Any help would be fantastic.

Did you have an earlier mysql version which is blocking mysql from xampp?
