Postby jose_rui_sa » 27. December 2010 22:40

Hi,

I'm new in xamp world, and website creation world.

Last week i end my web-store, but i need to format the server.

So i copy the whole xamp folder, and copy again for the same directory, install everything.... But i cant load the properly sql database.

Where i can find it?

The mysql database files in xampp are in the folder \xampp\mysql\data

That depends on the source file you have.
Do you have a phpmyadmin .sql export file?
or a mysqldump dump?
or what else?

I think i don't get your problem.

Let me summerize:
- You have copied your old XAMPP folder to backup it
- You copied it back to your server
- now your databases are missing?
- and what information in the index page is missing?

If this is the case, your problem could not be solved.
The mysql databases are all in the xampp\mysql\data folder. You have backuped the whole xampp folder, so all your mysql databases too.
If they are missing after copy the folder back, i have no idea whats going wrong there, sorry.

Either your backup was uncomplete, or you don't have copy your backuped xampp\mysql\data folder back, or you have done something else.

the first time that i run the webstore i need to import some file named "localhost.sql"

0- i have the D.B working but empty and i fill up with items

1- then i copy hole xamp folder....

2- install the O.S

3- then copy the same folder for same directory...

but i can't enter in the D.B,i think that i need to import something (like localhost.sql, but with items)
