Installation problems

I have just installed xampp lite. which appears to be OK. When I enter http://127.0.0.1/ I get a user name and passowrd request which when I fill in takes me immediately to a Windows default page Windows XP professional which shows the following text:

I am unable to locate XAMPP at all using this method. I am sure that this is set up issue but not sure which way to go. Can you help?

De-install your pre-installed Microsoft IIS - it collides with Xampp, as it is already a webserver.
