A better question would be:

How are you trying to do that (access your XAMPP server) now???

One thing to make sure of is that your XAMPP machine has been assigned a fixed IP.
(is that what you were trying to say here: my ip is 192.168.1.102.) ???

Have you checked your Windows Firewall???

Thank you for your time JonB,

How are you trying to do that (access your XAMPP server) now???

Im trying to access it from another PC in the lan, using a browser and searching for //192.168.1.102

And yes, the machine wich hosts XAMPP has a fixed ip.

I dont have any firewalls installed, just Windows Firewall, in my XAMPP machine. How can I grant full access to all lan users to use my XAMPP server?

http://192.168.1.102, right???

You only need make an exception in the firewall for Apache HTTP Server (httpd.exe) and MySQL (mysqld - C:\xampp\mysql\bin\mysqld.exe) (and FileZilla and/or Mercury if you use them) The exceptions are really only nedded for the 'servers' that you run.

While you are in Windows Firewall, you can look at the Scope Tab in Edit Mode for each entry. (that's what determines hwo it filters)

What error(s) are you getting?

When things are odd, I often try a different browser - soemtimes those security setting in the browsers are what do you in.

You should also look in the Apache error and access logs, to see what it thinks is happening.

Good luck
:)

Hey there and "How", Apache friends...

I'm a total n00b who stumbled over this advice thread via Google, and just wanted it to be known that your advice worked perfectly in regards to adding the exceptions to the Windows Vista Firewall, and setting their scope to be only accessable throught the LAN. Easy-Peasy, and much appreciated!!! :D
