Only Apache

Postby mrtblt » 13. December 2010 10:51

Hi everybody

I have already my mysql server and I start it from another soft. So I want to start apache server separately with apache_start.bat file. What are the minimum needs (which files or directories) just to start the apache with php support?

Zero, Nothing.

Simply start only Apache.

I think I failed on expressing myself correctly.

I dont want to copy on my program directory all the stuff shipped with the original XAMPP package. I want to remove what I dont need from the xampp package.

what should i remove or my precisely what should remain?

In my opinion, you would be much better of to simply install Apache in the standalone mode. If you want to use XAMPP, you could simply only start Apache as a service, there will be no conflict.

Beyond that, The developers only support XAMPP as a suite and also do not support vivisection. So as they say, "I think you are on your own here."

Just 'my opinion'
