Apache transfer to 2nd computer

Postby wyncroftrd » 13. December 2010 06:17

Hi All,
I have just copied all the XAMMP files over to my new computer, however when I start the control panel on the new computer Nothing happens. i.e, apache wont run, Mysql wont run. Have I missed something? Can someone perhaps lead me to the correct procedure for transfering to new computer?
Cheers,
John

You would need to run the setup_xampp.bat file in the new location to have it relocate directories and paths etc.

It may say:
'Current directory does not match configured directory. I must relocate the XAMPP paths correctly.

Should I proceed? (y/x=exit setup): y
'

y is selected by default and you only need to hit enter on your keyboard.

See if the above helps and btw the setup_xampp.bat file is located in the C:\xampp folder in a default installation of XAMPP v1.7.3.
