OK the database was corrupted due to a bug in XAMPP

xampp bug or corrupt sql-file? I don't know a xampp bug that corrupt a database. Could be important to know.

when I type the url of the wiki
http://localhost/website.com/w/ (physical address)
it redirects me to
http://localhost/wiki/Main_Page
instead of
http://localhost/website.com/wiki/Main_Page <-- this is where it should redirect me with correct behavior (mediawiki,'s short url system)

Can you define in the mediawiki config, what the installation path of the system is?
Does Mediawiki use mod_rewrite or a htaccess file to redirect?

I tried typing
http://localhost/website.com/wiki/Main_Page
And got error 500

The Apache error.log file gives you more information about the reason why this HTTP Error Code comes up.
