Socket Error With PHP

Postby shoelace1291 » 13. October 2010 05:49

I'm using a Steam API PHP class that uses sockets to connect to their community profiles. When I run the script on a web-based server, everything works fine. When I run it on my Xampp installation, I get the following error:

"A non-blocking socket operation could not be completed immediately. "

Is there any way to fix this? Do I have to enable sockets? If so, how?

It's Windows XP SP3, and my firewall was turned off when I ran it.

well so much for the 'raw sockets' theory.

What does the Apache error log say?

I don't know enough to make a judgment, but wile Googling to try to grpk what th eissue is -
this seemed to fit your case -

are you hybridkiller, by any chance?

just asking - :D

Is the porblem that it halts the script????

Although this is not my field of expertise - I am a real geek, and my best guess its a timing issue that needs a handler.

Good Luck

Ha, yes actually I am hybrid kill3r. Lol. Apach'e s error log doesn't list anything about it, so I'm guessing it's not a problem with PHP.
