Where to start?

Hello All.

Sorry I had posted this in the non-english area.

I want to stream videos (avi) and music (mp3).
I've install xampp for windows
Control Panel says services are running:
Apache
MySql
FileZilla
Mercury

Can someone tell me how to start streaming my videos or music.
Any documentation showing the steps necessary to start streaming

Where do I put my media files or how do I point xampp to my media files
How do I start streaming?
How do I receive the stream on another computer?

XP Pro SP3, 3.2GHz, 3GB Ram
1MB Upload bandwidth

You will likely need a script, preferably one designed for Apache, and NOT *nix specific. One that works with PHP or Perl would do. Java is also possible, but probably a bit tougher to get working.

Hint, start Googling.

You can also write it all yourself with PHP or Perl, a worthy task, and likely to keep you busy for a while -- but you will learn a lot. The amount of streaming you will be able to do is more than just having bandwitdh.
