Restoring web's network accessibility back to INSECURE

Postby Garry » 11. June 2010 21:31

Hello there!

I didn't find anything similar through the search, so I apologise if such matter had been previously considered.

I had used http://localhost/security/xamppsecurity.php to make the htdocs safer, but I cannot find an option to change back:
These XAMPP pages are not accessible through the network by anyone SECURE => INSECURE

I think it would be nice to include the option, though what I'd like now is to grant one of my clients access to some of my sites.

Any help on this would be great. Thanks, guys!

Hi again.

Thanks on the help. I renamed the file but I'm afraid it didn't work. Any suggestions?

.htaccess is actually the only file that controls this unless you changed something manually somewhere else.

Thanks. Indeed you're right, my security is back to UNSECURE, but I still don't get my client to reach my webserver, so I'll keep trying.

BTW, could some1 tell me how to configure a special port for the site? (I recognise I didn't search this...)

Yes, exactly, so that my client and (any1) has to add the port at the URL.

Change Listen directive in httpd.conf to anything you like.
