Yes, it would be...however, I know how to upgrade joomla - I do not know how to upgrade joomla that runs behind an xampp installation - which is why I asked the question. Perhaps I should have worded my title differently like - Upgrading joomla through Xampp running on localhost.

And, obviously you do not know the answer so you are just being ignorant so my next question is : Why waste your time just to be rude?? It is after all called "Apache Friends" NOT "Apache Jerks" :P

Joomla is a script solution for a content management system. As long as your Webserver conforms to the requirements of Joomla it is independend from the system it runs from (no matter if it's a package like XAMPP or the components Apache, MySQL and PHP installed all by it's own).

Obviously you don't know how Joomla/Webscripts work on Webservers.
If you know how you can upgrade Joomla on a Webhost, you already know how you can upgrade Joomla on a XAMPP.

I really don't know, why i waste my time with such questions :D
