I installed XAMPP on my ubuntu 9.04 machine, all is working fine but now when connecting to the remote MySQL server, i get an error
mysqlnd cannot connect to MySQL 4.1+ using old authentication
I searched http://www.google.co.in/search?q=recompile+PHP+with+libmysql+ubuntu&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=com.ubuntu:en-US:unofficial&client=firefox-a on google and found somewhere that it can be solved if I recompile PHP with libmysql it can be resolved.
Can someone please tell me how can I recompile PHP with libmysql?
Any help will be appreciated.
