apache keeps quitting

hello new user

win xp pro

xampp control panel, clicked the start for apache, it shows running, in yellow, for about 1 second or just over, then nothing

the other three seem ok

any idea why this keeps quitting?

Hi

Please check the apache error.log.

Seems that another process (e.g. IIS, Skype, Teamviewer,...) is blocking your port 80 or port 443.
Or your firewall has blocked your Apache.

Hi basireid,
I'm going true the same trouble and i finally found that the HTTPS was enabled with a default port already used.
I first desabled HTTPS with the "setup" button of xampp control panel.
I could start apache, now i have to find a free port for the HTTPS service...
I'm not an expert, if you have an idea for the "how to".

i tried both suggestions... i uninstalled the IIS

i then also disabled the https

and now have the admin tab going in the browser
