MySQL Is Deactivated with Windows 7 Install?

Postby ajwei810192 » 14. April 2010 03:31

Hi,

I am new to installing the XAMPP server, and looks like I have run into some problems when I try to install it on Windows 7. First of all, my MySQL won't start, and from my localhost page, it tells me that it is probably blocked by the firewall, and the overview page shows that MySQL has been deactivated. I cannot set the password, the Apache seems to be running fine. Does anyone know what security setting I should use to get MySQL installed?

Thanks for your help.
