Downloading XAMPP

Hello new Apache friends,

I am new to the webdevelopment world, but not new to this world, thus I have a somewhat large learning curve when it comes to the basics of websites, downloads, etc.

My problem is that when I downloaded XAMPP to my windows XP laptop I am receiving a block/stop from Windows, stating that the software publisher is not identified, thus I can not open the XAMPP appplication. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Hoping there is assistant for a new developer (who is an old man).

How about these steps:

1. Right-click the file.
2. Choose "Properties".
3. On the bottom of the file description, there should be an "Unblock" button. Press it.
4. Press OK.
5. Now try running the program.
