How on earth do you change the MySQL password?

From Terminal,

cd /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles
sudo ./xampp security

Answer the questions until you get this line:
XAMPP: The MySQL/phpMyAdmin user pma has no password set!!!
XAMPP: Do [ja] y


I performed the above for removing the MySql root password, but I'm unable to start phpMyAdmin ever since....
