I see just a nonsense string

Hi everybody, I have installed xampp on Vista and I wrote a file on htdocs.
when I type http://localhost/ i see correctly the xampp page, but when I type http://localhost/namefile.php I see this string:

how can I solve the problem? phpmyadmin works..

I opened a new document, wrote my script and saved it in htdocs with extension .php

You must not save php files as "RTF format". You must save them as textdocument (msdos format).

Or use notepad instead of wordpad.
