MYSQL returning a wrong unix time stamp

Hi good people,
I would like to thank you for the good work you are doing. I have been utilizing mysql for a while now and the other day after installing the latest version of XAMPP i realized that the
UNIX_TIMESTAMP function is returning a number that is 24 seconds ahead of the real unix time.
