IIS to XAMPP

Postby msrache » 28. January 2010 20:57

Hi. I need help switching from IIS 6 to XAMPP on a Windows Server 2003. I already have PHP5 and MySQL 5 on the server. Everything was working fine on IIS, but the reason I am making the switch is because when allowing the SMTP server on IIS, it keeps storing all the data in the mailroot folder. The folder just keeps building up, and I do not want IIS to keep this unnecessary data on my drive. I've heard that I cannot disable IIS from storing all this info.

Can I install XAMPP with a server that already has PHP and MySQL? Will this confuse my server? Does XAMPP store SMTP sendmail info? I use it to send forms directly to email.

Thanks! I need help asap!
