Website displaying smaller in XAMPP

Postby mrchristoph » 13. January 2010 22:11

Ive been designing a website all well and good and previewing using XAMPP as it has some PHP in it.

I made a small update to the html and css (not PHP!) and now something very weird is happening when I preview it in XAMPP - everything appears a bit smaller than it should - images, fonts, everything! When I preview normally it appears normal (except of course for the PHP coding appearing). I have tested on my other websites and the same thing is happening - just everying being smaller than it should be :(

How can I fix this please?

P.S. I am a noob so please explain like I am stupid :)

What browser are you using?

First check the page zoom settings in your browser's configuration - should be set to 100%

Which version of XAMPP?

Which Windows OS?

Have you this same small size effect when visiting the XAMPP Demo Welcome Page at http://localhost in your browser?

Do all the demos work?

What are these small changes to CSS/HTML that you made?

Look in the *.css file for any
max-height
max-width
min-height
min-width
These may or may not have a percentage value.

Look for anything remotely size related that may or may not have a percentage value in the css file.
