Xampp port 80 443 in use!

i install version 6.6a and it says PORT 80 OR 443 ALREDY IN USE!


INSTALLING APACHE 2.2 FAILED


PLZ HELP i dont know whats wrong

Missing support info - what XAMPP version and which Windows OS?

That version 6.6a I don't know.

The version is at the top of the readme_en.txt file in the xampp folder.

You have another server using those ports - usually Skype or IIS.

Some recent posts here have methods that might help.

Stop the server already using port 80 and port 443 and you should then be able to install XAMPP.

BTW which Windows OS are you using?

port 80 will be used by iis and port 443 will be used by skype generally,
so check with these and stop them up also if u have any other machine installed with xampp just copy the application xampp-portcheck.exe and run it on the machine it will give u what all ports are being used by which ones..
