different directory than xampp or xampplite?

Postby factorial » 17. November 2009 17:04

Hey guys, is there any way to make XAMPP install to a folder that's not named xampp or (in the case of XAMPPLite) xampplite? I want to install directly to the folder name of my choosing rather than having a forced sub-folder named xampp. E.g. the mysql.exe file would be under c:\foldername\mysql\bin\mysql.exe, not c:\foldername\xampp\mysql\bin\mysql.exe.

Just move the folders where ever you want after extraction and rerun the setup script.

OK cool. I'm actually not using the setup script (just extracting and then making a few calls to xamp_cli.exe). Is there anything in there that definitely needs to be run?

if you don't install XAMPP in "\xampp".
