No xampp security in xamppfiles

Postby aljbeats » 07. April 2008 02:27

I am trying to make xampp more secure by calling "/Applications/xampp/xamppfiles/xampp security" as is instructed on the localhost page but it continues to tell me that the file does not exist on my server. I have looked in the xamppfiles folder and can not find anything about xampp security. Could someone please help me to secure xampp or find xampp security in xamppfiles. Thanks!

IMHO this must be:
Code: Select all
/Applications/xampp/xamppfiles/mampp security

Hm, IMHI "/Applications/xampp/xamppfiles/mampp" is the nomalway to start/stop XAMPP. And you don't have this file?

Read this thread, you might find it useful.

Also, if your missing files, perhaps reinstalling isn't a bad idea.

Hi all keith again another 10 unin and reinstall of xampp. The FTP password for user nobody is still 'xampp' UNSECURE
By using the default password for the FTP user nobody everyone can upload and change files for your XAMPP webserver. So if you enabled ProFTPD you should set a new password for user nobody. Have gone to to terminal and run sudo su several times and changed password but it make no difference. can somebody help me please.

Cannot start session without errors, please check errors given in your PHP and/or webserver log file and configure your PHP installation properly. This is what keeps happening trying to install xampp.
