Look in htdocs\xampp folder for the .htaccess file and delete it then try and access your page again.

BTW what page are you trying to access and what are you typing in your browser's address bar?

What version of XAMPP and which Windows OS?

Check again that the .htaccess file is deleted from the \xampp\htdocs\xampp folder and then delete the \xampp\security\htdocs\.htaccess file also the \xampp\security\xampp.users file.

Restart Apache and try again.

BTW your http://www.jmnet.dk/ is not accessible from here on the Internet.

Where did I ask you to delete this file? - it should be in the Recycle Bin and I suggest you Restore it.

So you are still being asked for a username and password when you go to http://localhost in your browser because by following my instructions you have deleted the user/password you created in the Security Page?

Have you cleared your browser's cache?

When you open the XAMPP Control Panel is Apache and MySQL showing a green running indication?

Check out this topic also as the OP had issues with blacklisted URIs in the Windows hosts file and a similar problem as yours:

Hi
Thanks for quick replay :D
I have put webday.htpasswd back.
I'm not being ask for username and password, and i have cleared my browser cache.
And in my XAMPP control panel is Apache and MySQL showing a green running.

I have now read the about windws hosts file, and here is what is in it
Code: Select all
# Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
#
#
# Eksempel:
#
#      102.54.94.97     rhino.acme.com          # kildeserver
#       38.25.63.10     x.acme.com              # x-klientvært

127.0.0.1       localhost

I really hope i will get it to work agen

So lets recap, when you type http://localhost in your browser what do you see?

Temporarily disable your firewall/ZoneAlarm/anti-virus scanner and test again.

If you can access localhost after the above then configure which ever app is blocking your access.
