Hallo,
I am new to blogging with wordpress and to using xampp. I need to fill in names and details of my database on my local server in order to install wordpress, but I don't know where those details are!! Anyone has tips? Thanks already Francesca

1. Start XAMPP.
2. Go to http://localhost/phpmyadmin
3. Create a new database and give it a name.
4. Start installing Wordpress.
5. In the host field, fill in 'localhost'.
6. In the databasename field, fill in the name of the database you just created.
7. If you haven't change passwords in XAMPP or phpMyAdmin, then the user is root without a password. So in the user field, you fill in 'root' and you leave the password field empty.
