mysql showing deactivated

Problems with the Windows version of XAMPP, questions, comments, and anything related.

mysql showing deactivated

Postby jrthor2 » 06. September 2009 14:10

I just installed XAMPP and set everything up, but on the status page, MySQL shows as deactivated. In the control panel application, it shows as running. I have checked the windows services, and it is started. I can connect to the database through phpMyAdmin, create tables, etc. When I try to connect Dreamweaver to the database, it can't find it, I'm assuming because it is showing deactivated. I am running Windows Vista 64-bit. How can I get MySQL running?

Thanks!

Search the forum for this problem (and find the fix, if you need it).

Your Dreamweaver problem is not related to the wrong status indicator in the status page.
