XAMPP Setup

Have gone through set up procedure twice and each time I get the following error message:

"Ports 80 or 443 (SSL) already in use! Installation apache 2.2 service failed" Am also unable to access "http://localhost/."

Can anybody help me please

Stop the server/program with is already using port 80 or 443.
