ok i have had a look for an anwser cant find any here is my problem
i have xampp installed and working hosting a few sites
i now need to run RED5 that says it needs tomcat 5.5
followed the instuctions but the service will not start
i have just installed tomcat 5.5 on my laptop and RED5
and it seems to be working on port 8080 and 1935
as there the only 2 ports i need
i was hopeing to have it installed and running on the same system that i have xampp running on port 80
so i only need to leave one computer running and not 2
Thanks in advance

Why do think you need 2 computers? You need 2 ports on one computer (Port 80 for Xampp and 8080 for Tomcat).
