Problems with the Windows version of XAMPP, questions, comments, and anything related.

Hello,
I'm sort of new to this. I've installed xampp a year ago and forgot the password, so tried the password change on the securitypage. As result my joomla testsite can't connect to mysql. Maybe it''s a common problem, but i couldn't find in the FAQ-pages. Ayone's got an idea?

Can you login to phpMyAdmin after changing the password for user root in the security page?
Have you also changed the password the Joomla uses to access it's database?

Hello ms. Sharleen
Thanks for the reply.
Yes i can log in to phpmyadmin. I changed the password because i didn't know if i had one previously or at least didn't remember it.
I'm not aware of the password for joomla to access mysql. I'll try to find it. If you could direct me to it, that might be helpful. The first problem is: i can't start joomla. Maybe in the directory?

Hello ms. Sharleen,
Your reply helped me out. Thanks. I found the pasword change in phpmyadmin for the localhost. This is probably basic stuff. Got to start somewhere though.
