FTP to server?

I just had someone briefly describe XAMPP and I wanted to understand....can I build my Wordpress website entirely on XAMPP and then FTP the whole site to my server at one time? Are there any challenges involved?

Do you think you are right here in a Xampp Forum for Windows, instead of Wordpress Forum for Webservers?

Anyway, I dont think that this will work sufficiently. Therefore, my answer: No.

Are there any challenges involved?

Yes. You have to export/import a full MySQL Database for Wordpress, which (what i believe) works on MySQL.
