Migrate from AppServ to Xampp

Hi,
all my tests sites are on AppServ currently. I want to migrate to Xampp (I tested it on the other machine and liked it).
I know the dirty and tedious way of migrating - to make .sql files for each site and backup the directories. Then to uninstall AppServ and install Xampp.
(Hopefully it will work).

Maybe someone could give some tips about how to do it in more professional way and to avoid typical mistakes?
