404 not found

Hello everybody,

I installed MAMPP yesterday and in the control panel it say's everything is running.

But i'm working from Dreamweaver CS3 and when I want to preview my site it say's "The requested URL /index.php was not found on this server".

I have put the site on my desktop and the remote site is put in XAMPP/htdocs.

Can anybody tell me what I can do to fix this?
