Localhost not work

Hello,

I am running Ubuntu 8.10 and the latest version XAMPP.

XAMPP seem to install ok. I can start it. But when I put http://localhost or http://127.0.0.1 I get:

What is going on here? I have never had this problem befor.

Hmm strange got no problems with ubuntu 8.10

but i think you dont't have the good rights! chmod your dir maby this will help
(sorry for my poor english)
