How to configure php to run in fast-cgi mode?

Postby storanta » 03. March 2009 20:47

I'm trying to adjust my xammp configuration to mirror that of a client's shared hosting provider. The hosting provider (dreamhost) is running PHP in FastCGI mode rather than as an apache module.

How do I reconfigure XAMMP to run php in Fast-CGI mode?

I found the config settings in /conf/extra/httpd-xampp.conf for the php-cgi.exe and enabled those. But there still appears to be something missing in the config since now apache won't serve any PHP files.

What are the steps to complete this configuration?

Thanks.
